Smoking and grilling meats is what this is all about. Got a great recipe, tip, technique or grill/smoker reviews you want to share? This is the place.

http://www.basspro.com/Masterbuilt-Extr ... 1/-1708905Picked this one up from BassPro Shop about 6 months ago. Works well. Temperature is easily adjustable. Front door seals well. I picked this one up because of it's capacity and the front loading door. I can smoke a turkey, a couple of chickens, a roast or two and a several trays of chicken livers. I have owned several different smokers over the years. If you are planning smoking moderately large quantities at one time, a smoker with a front opening door is the way to go.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Eugene - I have the narrow version of this smoker. We find it invaluable during the Cub Tug. Not only can we smoke with it, we use it as a warmer and holding oven and we can crank it up and cook in it if we need to. They are well worth the money. I also have a wood / charcoal fired vertical smoker with the firebox on the side. It is built about 3 times heavier than the propane unit and I don't think you could ever wear it out.

We visited friends on the way to my Grand daughters college graduation I brought a box full of 6 inch pieces of apple, hickory and 2 of cherry for their fish smoker. Been holding the wood for them for a while.
