Hey guys...got a new JD 750 and I was just wondering what the proper method is for checking the transmission/hydraulic oil level? Do I thread the disptick back down and then check it? Or do I place the dipstick back into the fill opening (without threading it down) and check it?
I have the owner's manual, and have yet been able to find this answer, though I've been told it's there?
Thanks in advance.

It's my understanding that you just place the dipstick back down until it touches the case. Don't thread it in.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I just re-read the entire operator's manual cover to cover, and yes....you are correct Bigdog. I finally found it mentioned....just place it on the threads to check the level.
Much appreciated!
