super a govenor problemgot a 1950 super a today that had not run in 5 years, had to clean carb and replace condensor to get it running . they had a spring hocked to the throtle arm putting tension on it to keep throtle closed if you remove spring it will rev very high no mater where the throtle lever is placed back at the seat but with this added spring the hand throtle works as it should do i have a broken spring in the govonor housing or is it something else

Re: super a govenor problemBilly - just where exactly is the spring connected? From where to where? Are you talking about the linkage from the throttle to the carb?
