Re: Have you ever seen a grown man cry?Gee Whiz DaleF,
With my teardown, I photo areas that I knew were going to be tricky for me to reassemble. And I used photos and commentary posted on this site from Artc, BDFinch and others. My father-n-law though I was nuts doing photo sessions! It is together and running great! I did not complete the same as you, sandblasted prior to overhauling. I completed my first cub the 56 in the same fashion. But, the person that did the painting did not do a stellar performance. Although, I purchased good paint it shines like the dickens! Pabst
Re: Have you ever seen a grown man cry?You don't need a loader to dead end a Touch Control system. Ask me.. I did it not once, not twice, not even three times but count em -- 4 times
Bob, do you have a Pressure Relief Valve with that 1000 loader? Since the IH 1000 Loader Owner's Manual states that the by-pass block must be removed if the loader is removed, then I would think that they system does not have a built in Pressure Relief Valve. I would add one... Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship

I don't but I don't want to have that problem again so I will go over all the data before the by pass block goes on. Good judgment comes from experience, and experience comes from poor judgment.

Re: Have you ever seen a grown man cry?
The pressure relief valve has to go between the bypass block and the valves. It won't do any good after the valves. A pressure relief is built into the valves of the 1000 loader. If you remove the loader, you are removing the pressure relief.
Re: Have you ever seen a grown man cry?I linked to the wrong post.. should have been Part 3.
![]() And yup, Jim is correct, the Pressure Relief Valve is built into the valve. Neat I found it on page 13 of the LDR-1 Rev 5-3-68. It isn't on the server yet.. I can email it you need it Bob. It may also be on the PDF set as well. Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship
