You going for the OS X Lion upgrade when it comes out :?:

At home, I'd need to finally upgrade my 6 year old Mac, in order to run Lion!!!

But at work-- I'm getting Lion installed on my Mac in August, they say :D

What all is Lion supposed to give us?

If you have a touch screen monitor, Lion is supposed to work like a huge iphone on your desktop monitor screen from what I've read.

You can still just use the mouse as well though..

As far as the chat goes, also logged in at home using OS 1.5.8 on Safari, no issues.

Dennis--thanks for the link. I'll try it out on Monday (it's Friday night at the library again  ).

Not having internet at home is more of a financial decision instead of a availability issue. I never had so many computer problems and issues as when we were connected to the internet. It finally got to the point of throwing up my hands and let someone else deal with the crud floating around out there.

I'll let you know if the link is successful. Thanks again!

Nope, the link didn't work. Probably something with our IT department or at my end. I get logged on at the library without any trouble.

Thanks anyway.

Here's a new curiosity regarding the chat. Lildog Jr. has discovered the chat room and likes to hang out there sometimes. I like to check in from time to time, mostly to make sure he's behaving himself. :D Lately, we've noticed a bit of a quirk. He'll be logged in on one computer and I'll go to login to chat from my laptop and chat tells me I'm already logged in and kicks me out, though Jr. tells me that the chat room shows me as being logged in. If I get logged in first, then the same thing happens to him.

The only way I've found around it is, if he's in the chat, I have to logout of the forum, then click the chat link and re-enter my username and password there. Once in chat, I can re-login to the forum and everything is fine. Best I can figure is that the auto-login when you go from the forum to chat is passing on our router's IP address instead of our respective computers' addresses, so the chat simultaneously adds me, but then tells me I'm already there. Since bypassing the auto-login works, it seems to me that the forum is passing some bit of information to the chat that is causing the mix up.

Any thoughts? Ideas?

I'm on Windows 7 running Chrome browser. He's on Vista with Chrome.

There is a limit based on the IP addresses... otherwise, it's kind of like texting someone in the same room... I'll check to see if it will allow two connections per IP.
