140 parts

Postby Kodiak » Sat Jul 23, 2011 10:40 pm

My cousin has a 140 that his Dad (my Uncle) bought new. It's always been in the family and he uses's it for plowing since his Dad passed away about 5 years ago. He told me today it never ran just right but wasn't bad either. Lately it had gotten worse and finally quit running. He did a little work and found that 4 of the pushrods were badly bent. He needs to replace them but hasn't had any luck finding any. Anyone have a good source or even a few to spare from a parts machine?

Thanks
Ron

He did say it was the 4 cyl engine a 122 I believe.
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Ron, I may have messed up responding late at night. I have some out of an A block. I also have a parts C i was going to pull some from.

Then I remembered the C has an A block (113?) as they took the C block and put it in my A.

Now if you are not confused, you are better off than i am, 'cause I can't keep it straight.

If someone knows if these will work, I am glad to send them. Otherwise they are going to China and coming back as tin cans.

Dale

There are at least 3 different part numbers on the push rods for the 113/123 engines. The C and Super A parts catalogs list all 3 parts as interchangeable. So you may be able to see some differences between them, but they interchange.
