How much is she worth???

Postby BohemianJon » Wed Jun 29, 2011 12:58 pm

I've got a McCormick No. 7 Mower that's a pull behind with all steel wheels...that I've retired since acquiring a 1A-22 Side Mount Mower for my 130. The "No. 7" is in great shape and everything works as it should...and ya can even see one of the original lables on the seat support. Only negative is it does have a cracked steel seat but other than that, its in very good condition. So, what's she worth???

Jon:

Well that is a simple question with a very fickle answer  It all really depends on how bad somebody wants one. If you are lucky someone will want it bad and you might get $200.00 it. If not then you might just get $50.00 for it so someone can have some interesting yard art on their lawn. Personally I would be keeping it -- restored lawn art for my lawn :!:  :D

Isn't that #7 actually a horse drawn mower? Many people want them more for lawn decorations than for use.

Around here, for lawn art, it may bring $250-$300

This old IH No. 7 mower is in good working order...all original! Its not "lawn art" and I'd not want to sell it for that. It still wants to work! Talked with a guy from Northern Indiana and he thought I ought be able to get $800 at least...SO, its FOR SALE for $800...with pick up only in Southwestern Michigan.

Your question is very subjective. It would appear that the answer you got was one you wanted to hear.
