mowing creek bank

Postby TJG » Fri Jul 29, 2011 8:57 am

any leads for ATV (Yamaha Rhino model) pull-behind mowers off-set for creek mowing? Dad's getting to where he can't walk to weedwhip it, and a conventional yard mower can't get close enough to the water to safely mow. Only a gentle slope for the most part, and some large rocks to work around. He cleans it up maybe twice a summer. I've told him to hire young legs to come in and weed whip it for him. Thanks for any ideas,

Todd

Quite honestly, hiring someone to do it a couple of times a year is the cheapest way to deal with this. No maintenance or upkeep on equipment.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Here is an offset mower sold by Northern Tool and a link to their catalog page.

As you can see, with the cost of the mower at $1,900.00, Bigdog hit the nail on the head. You can hire a lot of grass cut for $1,900.00.
