Farmall A with 6ft mower, will it be okwill a Farmall A with a 6ft woods belly mower work ok to cut my lawn? Seems a little big for this tractor, but will be cutting weekly. Should I walk away or look further?

Re: Farmall A with 6ft mower, will it be okI would say that a good strong A should be able to handle that mower just fine. My Super A handles the L59 without issues, and the 140 really has no problem. However, I would not try mowing tall or very heavy grass in anything but 2nd and below. Keep your blades nice and sharp, make sure the front of the deck is a bit lower then the back, and you should be going like a Boeing in no time. These mowers cut really well, and will give years of good service if taken care of.
