On my fully mounted (no dolly wheels)Sickle Bar Mower the oak 'pitman arm' is home made and is the wrong size and won't work. I can check to see if there is a model # anywhere on the mower.
Does anyone have a good one or can you get a NOS one.
It has 4 bolt holes on both ends and looks like a standard item.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Case IH is really great.
My IH dealer has a new pitman arm on the way from Indiana. Will be here Tuesday for $22.00. These fellows had the old books and were able to ID the model number of my mower using a couple of part references I provided.

Re: 7ft IH 3pt Sickle BAR Mower.....pitman arm.
The right part ( IH pitman arm) really makes the job tons easier.
The guys at the IH dealership kinda laughed at this little 3ft Wooden piece, as I carried it out the door.
They were obviously thinking of other more complex parts they handle on a daily basis, as they glanced at this outdated wooden stick.
As simple as this arm looks this is quite a complicated little piece.
The guy that designed the first one was a real engineer and the guy that tried to copy it before I bought the new one home had no understanding of how it worked.
