Farmall Cub

Hello,

I just bought an original 1947 Farmall Cub that runs like a top, I have always been intersted in cubs but never owned one till now. Just wondering if there is anyone around me that has implements and someone I can learn all about cubs from.

hello cub buddy. going to have a cub fest sept 17 out side of foreman ar. 71836 i think your about 4 hours or so from here. come on down and join the fun. see ya tomcat.

Welcome to the forum! Is your's a Circle Cub? They were the earlier versions and sported the word "Cub" inside a cirle on the radiator sides.

I agree with Tomcat, you should try to get to the Arkansas CubFest. These are a lot of fun an a great learning experience. If you truly want to learn more about Cubs you'll be glad you attended. Arthur Luke is in copan, north of Bartlesville on the Ks line. BillEBob is in Skiatook, and there is a growing contingent nearby. There is also the KS Cubfest held earlier in the year.

Welcome to the forum from another Okie. If you can, try to make the Cubfest at Foreman AR, you will learn much abot cubs. jpcubs and I are going and it's a 5 hour trip for us. I don't know if Bill E Bob is or not, but it will be well worth your time. Don't hesitate to ask questions and WE LIKE PICTURES

In response, Yes, My Cub is a circle Cub, the only difference is that somewhere in its life, a hydraulic pump and touch control was added so I have hydraulics. And Id love somemore info about the Cubfest. Wish there was a gathering or club in Oklahoma though. Ive seen a lot of these around where I live.

leerenovations - Welcome to the forum! One of the best ways to attend a cubfest nearby is to host one yourself! Even if you are new to cubs if there are several of you in the area who can attend you will all learn something. Just pick a date and time and invite all the close cub owners over. Even if you just sit and talk about cubs you will get to know each other and someone will get their questions answered.
Having tons of cub experience is not a prerequisite for hosting a cub event.

When it comes to the CubFests .. this is the event list for this year and there are a few still to come, CubFests and Gatherings Calendar 2011 and the 2012 calendar is in the planning stages. If you can make one it is well worth the drive .. the last CubFest I attended aside from the 2 we hosted here was well over a 10 hour drive and was worth every single minute on the road. Good friends, good neighbours, good company and a grand time

Nice honest cub you have there. I see you are in the "barely fit under the steering wheel " club too. :big afro:

The 2 large bolts under the tool box can come out, and the seat post moved back to the next set of holes. This will give you another couple inches of leg room.

There is also a spacer under the spring, undo the stop at the back/bottom of the seat post shaft. Removing this will give you a bit more room also.
