Rosie and I just got in about a half hour ago. What a great time we had at Stonethrow. Paula and Ron make a great team when it comes to hosting a CubFest. We felt at home the entire weekend. Thanks for all you did for us.

Get some sleep Ron. You should start remembering things sometime tomorrow.

There a lot of pix here http://photos.cubfest.com/thumbnails.php?album=1107. There were a lot of cameras there so I'm sure more will be posted shortly.

Well, Mary Lou and I made it home safely. This was not just another Cubfest but a real celebration!! We had lots of Cubs, lots of crews to supervise, AND TWO BABIES TO HOLD. Old friend stopping by, met new friends, got to see Bugler and the beautiful Barbara again, ate barbecue and molasses cookies till it was a shame, and generally just had a foot stomping time. It just don't get no better this year but it certainly set the bar a little higher for Mr. E and the Deep South crew to clear. Thanks, Ron, too bad we can't frame this one and keep it cause it was a good one. Now everybody take a little time off and get ready for the biggest and best Deep South Cubfest you can imagine.

What a great time again this year at StoneThrow! Ron and Paula, thanks for having us all come gather for fun and friendship, and all those goodies to go along with the good times!

Once again this year, the Cub masters did their magic on Corky's Cub and Jason's Pappy, and I am forever grateful! I know you guys are just doing your part to save me from myself, and save our cubs from the effects my "ape-with-a-wrench" touch!

Thanks to Phil Lenke for getting my new rear main seal assembly down to Jawja in time! When I got to Ron's with the part, Raymond and Phildidit had Corky's Cub already split on the half-shell, and ready for the part!

Thanks also to Bob and Rick for working their carb magic again this year on Jason's Pappy. Rick found plugged jets in the low idle circuit, and Bob recreated the float pivot mount with JB-Weld--amazing!

Tyler and Carson had a blast as usual, both riding in the Parade and playing with the girls at StoneThrow! Pictures will be posted on the link shortly.

Thanks again Kodiak!!

I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

I just got home from the airport and also want to thank Ron and Paula for a great time. Ron actually got to sleep in this morning and I think he was feeling pretty good. Corky's barbacue was great, and I think every tractor there was attended to by Raymond. Ron and I decided that a group picture should have been taken, so that will be on the list for next year.

Thanks again, Bob

I was thinking about that when we got back from the parade and I got distracted. :headbang

Mr. George Willer once ask me, what I had learned after I hosted my first Cubfest. I can say that I am truly blessed beyond imagination with some of the most caring friends in the world. Stonethrow would not be what it is if it weren't for the Great folks that take of their time to come down to the very small town of Gillsville, Georgia and spend a weekend with us. You all give freely and unshelfishly of yourselves to all around you in a mulitude of ways. Love truly abounds! I cannot say a big enough THANK YOU to convey how really thankful Paula and I are to all of you.
We look foward to seeing you all again next year at Stonethrow VII if not before :D

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

We had to run out Saturday afternoon to make it home in time for my Dad's 77th birthday party, so we didn't get to say goodbye to everyone.
Thanks of course to Ron and Paula for another great year. Beautiful weather and a wonderful setting were hard to leave.
Thanks to Dale #2 for diagnosing and correcting a problem with the Cub I towed in; as well as diagnosing the issue with the Cub that I drove in and had to tow out; and for general encouragement on issues with both tractors.
Thanks to Jim Foose for rebuilding my hydraulic pump and thanks to Raymond for hanging onto and trading back to me my #6 toolbar brackets. Thanks to Bob and the other faithful attendees always ready to jump in and help out. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the food and that really great ice cream.
I enjoyed spending time with Dean and other new members. Can't wait to see everyone at the next mini-fest and Deep South.
