A week ago our Stumptown Tractor Club hosted the annual Killian Farm Show in Denver, NC. We had quite a few Cubs and decided to line some up. From left the right: 1953 Cub (Nooney) owned by Sam McAulay 1954 Cub (Rufus) owned by Matthew McAulay 1955 Cub (Butch) owned by Gary Pickeral 1956 Cub (Jimmy) owned by Chad McAulay 1957 Cub (Andy) owned by Gary Pickeral 1958 Cub - this tractor was restored this year by the Stumptown Tractor Club and raffled off at the show. The winner is TT Smith! Other than the raffle tractor, these tractors all live within a mile of each other in Huntersville, NC. We love our Cubs!

Thanks guys for the kind words. I've thoroughly enjoyed this site and all the wealth of info. Nothing but great people here.
Buzzard Wing - Yes I guess there are two Rufus's (Rufus'...Rufi...I'm not sure what the plural of Rufus is. I doubt its needed very often). We have a habit of naming our tractors after the fellow we got them from. As a matter of fact, every tractor in this line is named after its previous owner. I'm sure my buddies in Huntersville aren't the only ones that have done that, but it helps us remember where we got them. Mine was owned by my grandfather. I also share his first name.
Rudi - Thanks for all you do on here. According to savethecub.com my 54 is a late November model

Another downside of buying stuff at auctions (including eBay) is you really don't know much of the previous owner or the Cub's history. I named mine for an Army Quartermaster.... anybody that can take 500 horses and mules from the Mississippi river to the Pacific coast in 1854 at least should have a tractor named after him .
