Please excuse my bringing it up here on a cub thread but time is getting tight and this thread gets more traffic.
Thanks, Mike.

Going to check out another tractor...and its home!I'm thinking about a Farmall "A". There isn't the info out there for "A"s that cubs have so I'm going to need some help here.

Re: Going to check out another tractorMy dad had an A and it was a nice little tractor. It's kind of like a Cub on steroids. Overhead valve, wet sleeve engine and a 4 speed tranny, all improvements over the Cub.

Re: Going to check out another tractor
I really like the cub but there are things about the "A" that are really neat like the front rims. You know if I get it I'm going to see what interchanges with the cub. The "A" does look beefier too. Mike. Quote by Gary Pickeral I like

Re: Going to check out another tractor
Almost nothing. While on the subject, almost nothing interchanges between an A and Super A. A mounted equipment is hard to find compared to the Super A.
Re: Going to check out another tractorNo hydraulics on a "A" either

Re: Going to check out another tractorI don't think it can be done but I'd love to find a way to use the "A"s front rims on the cub. They do look sharp!
On this particular "A" not having hydraulics is actually the way I want it, simple. The simpler the better. I'm going to have to put a kit into my cubs TC unit as it is bleeding down under a load. I'm not wanting another project. At least not to soon. The most I'll do with the "A" right now is tow and haul firewood. If I do put a plow on it I'll mount a hand lift as I like the early look of it. My snow mover will be the cub. Mike. Quote by Gary Pickeral I like
