Tis The season!

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

Tis The season!

Postby Barnyard » Fri Nov 25, 2011 7:09 pm

Now that Thanksgiving is out of the way, it's time for me to get ready for Christmas. This is one of my favorite projects and usually keeps me busy for a couple weeks.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Stanton, right now I am a bit behind because of the three day rain. I'd say the light may get as far as St. Louisso far. Once I get more up and the old electric meter gets to twirlin' pretty good you should start feeling the heat from the light. I'm only pushing about 12,000 bulbs right now. When I get done I hope to be able to reach Bob McCarty's place :D

Clark: Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, funless, hopeless, heartless, fat-but, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey poo he is! Hallelujah! Holy schnikes! Where's the Tylenol?

Clark: We're gonna have the hap hap happiest christmas since Bing Crosby tapdanced with Danny Franklin Kaye.

I really like the deer barnyard. did you make it yourself? I would like to make one or two if I could find a pattern. I'm not artistic enough to make my own

Roger, I bought the pattern from http://www.thewinfieldcollection.com and cut the deer from 3/4 plywood. The nativity scene was done the same way. A friend of ours did the paint work. The entire display can be seen at http://www.lightupcrosby.com

My 5'5" daughter with the set of deer.

Checking to make sure all the bulbs work before hoisting the star to the top of the barn.

Jim, three came by camel and one came by Cub, but I think he was more of a wise guy than he was a wise man.
