Email Password

Postby Barnyard » Wed Dec 21, 2011 6:56 pm

All of a sudden today my cmputer is asking for a password to get into my email. I have never had to do that before. I don't have a password for it so I can not get my mail. I have gone into my account set up and tried to give it a password but it doesn't help.

Anybody have a remedy?

Bill, is this from your ISP, or is it gmail or something like that?

And to be completely honest, I've never heard of anyone NOT having a password associated with their mail account.

I have had occasions in the past where the e-mail sofware asked for a password. Even entering the known password would not work. I re-booted the computer and it went away????

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I have rebooted Rosie on occasion and she has never gone away, but what the heck, I'll try it with my computer. (Shades of Billy Ray)

i believe that is asking for the password to log on to your internet service.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Yep, It has been a looooong time since I have had to use it. After I rebooted the computer I got to thinking the same thing so I tried a couple different old passwords and BINGO, my mailbox runneth over.
