Thanks for all the input and response to my previous questions on a potential 184 purchase.
BTW, I'm getting the one with the FEL.
Now the mower quest begins. Are the L59 Woods the same for the three models? Undercarriage, mounts and hydraulics the same? How about a L59 for a Farmall? I would presume that the hangers would be different, but the deck itself would be similar or same.
Anybody have one for sale close to TN? What do they bring on an average, $300-400?
Any and all advice appreciated in advance.

Re: L59 Woods Mower interchange??'s
The mowers will interchange between all three models of numbered series tractors. The mower decks had a few changes over the years, but they all basically are the same. The brackets for the Farmalls and the older offset Lowboys (and a lot of other tractors) will be much different. There was also a left and right hand throw depending on the rotation of the PTO, so keep that in mind as well during your search.
Your price range is pretty close to the going rate for a good setup.

Why Woods? There are other excellent mower decks out there for the numbered series tractors.
I wouldn't ignore the International 3160A, 3160, etc.

Good point! I have only seen the Woods on a tractor I looked at. What are the benefits Of the IH? Are prices comparable? Any others besides these two? Thanks!

The IH 3260 is also a good mower. It has formed chutes in the deck to channel the grass out, instead of just being a flat deck like the 3160 or the Woods59. Only disadvantage is there are less of them around, so a bit harder to find a good one. I've thrown one away because the former owner left it in the dirt a couple years too long.

I love my flat decks!---grass and weeds dont stick under the deck when its wet/raining / muddy/etc. (thats when you have to mow here in Illinois!)---the decks work excellent for me! thanks; sonny
