This tractor is no trailer queen my cub still mowes, roto-tills, plows gardens, blows snow and pushes anything with the front blade. My cub accomplishes all these tasks still looking as great as the day it came out of the show room floor. Living in Columbus, OH most of these people have no clue what my tractor is or why I would invest so, much time in keeping it so, nice. Welcome to the forum!!
That's a great looking 100, you did a first class job!
I guess it is a Cub Cadet thing... they wouldn't understand!
Thanks for sharing,

Thanks David, all these old Cubs need are a little elbow grease and $$$$. Anyone can have a fully restored Cub better than anything MTD is building today, nothing MTD builds will ever last 40 years.

Yep, they don’t make them like that anymore for sure! You have a lot of extra “goodies” on that 100, it should do about anything you want it to.
I had time to run thru the pictures you linked to; it is good you showed up at that plow day to keep those green Deere in line!
I have an Original in pieces now, been taking paint off and cleaning up, I hope it turns out as good as your 100 did!
Thanks again,
David

Very NICE 100 restoration I especially like the extra left rear wheel for plowing (more traction and weight) ...'Country'

Re: Restored Cub Cadet 100
Those extra weights and tires make my Cub look like a miniature farm tractor. When the tractor is equipped with dual wheels, front suit case, wheel weights and me the tractor weighs over 1,700 lbs. like to see any MTD model handle that much weight. My plan is to add the (restored) hydraulic pump this year, restore the snow thrower and roto-tiller, after those pieces are restored there will be nothing left for me to restore.

Re: Restored Cub Cadet 100
Beautiful 100. The 100 is a fine looking Cub with some nice changes from the Original. I have one too and it is in line for a restore/rebuild, after my Original I think... Then again, my 169 might jump a head. Or my 782, or well, hell, not sure which will get done first, but one will once I get settled in a tad bit more and some other "projects" get done. I like the workers too and not so much the trailer queens.
Lovin' IH for over a decade.

Re: Restored Cub Cadet 100
Restore your 169 very few 169s go to plow days if there is one there restored nobody wants to do anything with the tractor except polish the paint.
