Farmall Cub

A few weeks http://nashville.craigslist.org/grd/2788847347.html a post in the cub forum was made concerning this tractor. I posted that since it was not too far from me, I would be glad to check it out, if anyone had an interest. I am not very familar with these tractors, but it appears to be an A or Super A. Definitely, not a cub.

I looked at it this week for a forum member and this is what I found.

There is no s/n plate on the RH side of seat
There is an extra hole in the hood on the RH side, maybe for a small tank used for starting only. (Hood has a slightly different color indicating a replacement)
No dip stick that I could find (petcock? on LH side of oil pan)
Has hydraulics with both levers, (looks original).
Overhead valve engine
No decals on hood
6 volt battery ignition and generator (looks original)

Was there another "cultivision" one before the A?

It's a Super-A with an aftermarket seat. The Super-A's (at least most that I know of) did not have a dip stick to check the oil, that's what the petcocks are for. The SN was originally on the left seat support. The engine SN in on a flat spot under the #1 spark plug hole, although it would not have matched the tractor SN. The extra hole in the hood was for the starting tank to stick up through, and if this is an original distillate tractor, it would have had shutters behind the grille.
