Its got a few problems but with your help I think I can work them out. First thing I need to do is the head gasket cause I get some antifreeze smell looks like its coming out of there. Anyway great forum lots of good info on here. Thanks, Jim
Re: new guy from indianaWelcome to the forum, Jim. Congrats on the Lo-Boy. 3 of my 7 Cubs are Lo-Boys. Bring on the questions and I'm sure you'll get the answers you need.

Re: new guy from indianaWelcome to the forum Jim! I have a few Lo-boys myself. They are great for mowing and pushing snow. They can be used for Plowing and disking gardens too, but I use my regular Cub for that. Be careful with those head bolts, they tend to break. The best approach to removing them is to use an impact on low pressure and rattle them loose.
Check out the CubFest announcements forum for a Cub event near you. A CubFest is a good place to meet some of the best Cub guys around. I don't believe in taking the bull by the horns. I took a goat by the horns once and that was enough excitement for me.

Re: new guy from indianaWelcome to the forum Jim and congratulations on getting your first Cub!
I would suggest downloading and reading some of the manuals available on this site to become a little more familiar with your Cub. Also suggest taking some time to evaluate things thoroughly before digging in. The antifreeze smell could be a leak elsewhere (inlet hose?) and once the hood comes off it creates a strange phenomenon; “while I am at it I might as well…..” You appear to be about an hour and a half away from a CubFest that will be in April: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=66318 CubFests are a great time and a good chance to learn a lot about your Cub, you should try to come if you can. Best of luck, David
Re: new guy from indianaWelcome Aboard, there is a lot of knowledge to be accessed at this site, also many very fine folks. I would encourage you to go to a Cub fest and start learning to know the fellow Cub enthusiast, that has been very rewarding to me.
Berlin I seem to know more and more about less and less, soon I'll know everything about nothing !
Re: new guy from indianaWelcome to the Forum!
Congratulations on getting your Cub! If there is anything we can do, let us know.
Re: new guy from indianaWelcome to the board Jim. Been thru Vincennes many times in my days, my youngest sister and her husband live there, good to see another Hoosier join the board.

Re: new guy from indianaWelcome aboard, as Bill said, be sure to check out the announcements page for a cub fest near you. I actually come down to Vincennes at least once a year to bring a gas tank and radiator to get backed and boiled, there by the high school. Straight shot down high one. Be sure to click the link below my signature on DocFest, coming up in April. Be good to meet you.
