Greetings from the Buckeye StateI'm Joe checking in from Ohio; About 35 miles east of the Capital City. Got my first Cub about 5 months ago. She's a 1947, serial number 4524, came with a blade, plow, belly mower, rear wheel weights and tire chains. Going to be using it on our little 3 acre piece of the earth. Although, this is my first cub, it's not the first in the family. As a child I remember my Uncle's 1950 demonstrator, and also having memories of riding on a early Cub that was on a farm that my Dad took care of back in New England in the early 1950s. My older brother still lives up in New England and has a 53 Cub. So, when I went looking for a tractor it was only natural to look for a Farmall Cub. I found this 47 sitting along a side road just north of Columbus with a for sale sign on it and made a deal with it's 80 year old owner. It starts up good and seems to run well. I just recently started working on it and already have found a few issues with it that I'll be seeking advice on from the wealth of knowledge displayed by all of you on this fine website.
