Well, since you asked... This position is a great one, and I am always glad to share good news!!

I am the National Sales Manager for a company called IDI, Inc. IDI is the US subsidiary of a company named Ingredia out of France. We manufacture and distribute a wide range of dairy proteins and functional system ingredients for the beverage, frozen dessert, cultured dairy, cheese, meat and bakery industry. We also do a lot of work in the nutritional foods industry where we sell powdered whey proteins to the "muscle" people. That is a fairly large growing section of the business and an area where I am happily going to learn and grow

The company has a great deal of business in Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Eastern Asia, but they are fairly new in the US. They bought the facilities of Kantner Foods in Wapakoneta, OH about 2 years ago, and have been working to grow the US business since that time. I am managing and directing a small sales team of 4 at this time, but the desired growth path means adding more sales force within the next year. Basically, I get to help build the team from the ground up!

I am actually writing this post to the forum from my Hotel room in Arras, France as I am at the company headquarters for some training until March 23! Quite exciting for me to be here in Europe with these fine folks. Any questions and nervousness I had over making this change has evaporated completely since joining IDI. Once again, I feel invigorated and appreciated for the ideas that I have and the growth opportunity with this company.
