Welcome to the neighborhood!!! I guess it is the neighborhood, I attended an auction in Harmony last Saturday. You are going to be nearer the center of the Cub Universe. :) :)

Good luck with your new job.

Bill, I'm already thinking about a Pennsylvania Cubfest... Gonna have to wait until 2013 because 2012 is getting a little booked up!!

I've thought about a Pennsylvania Cub Fest, although I will never put one together . I do have have a name.
May I suggest the " Keystone Cub Fest " for consideration.

Lots of luck Mike in your ne adventure. I have been wondering how the thing with Brooks BarBque in Oneonta worked out in your old employment. I go to Brooks often when I am in Franklin NY.

Well, since you asked... This position is a great one, and I am always glad to share good news!!

I am the National Sales Manager for a company called IDI, Inc. IDI is the US subsidiary of a company named Ingredia out of France. We manufacture and distribute a wide range of dairy proteins and functional system ingredients for the beverage, frozen dessert, cultured dairy, cheese, meat and bakery industry. We also do a lot of work in the nutritional foods industry where we sell powdered whey proteins to the "muscle" people. That is a fairly large growing section of the business and an area where I am happily going to learn and grow

The company has a great deal of business in Europe, Canada, the Middle East and Eastern Asia, but they are fairly new in the US. They bought the facilities of Kantner Foods in Wapakoneta, OH about 2 years ago, and have been working to grow the US business since that time. I am managing and directing a small sales team of 4 at this time, but the desired growth path means adding more sales force within the next year. Basically, I get to help build the team from the ground up!

I am actually writing this post to the forum from my Hotel room in Arras, France as I am at the company headquarters for some training until March 23! Quite exciting for me to be here in Europe with these fine folks. Any questions and nervousness I had over making this change has evaporated completely since joining IDI. Once again, I feel invigorated and appreciated for the ideas that I have and the growth opportunity with this company.

Thanks for asking, Dan... I hope I didn't bore you with the details! If anyone wants more specific information on the company, please feel free to check out their website at http://www.idi-ingredients.com/uk

Mike,

Congrats on your new job, AND on being able to move your family closer to home !

Knock'em dead in your new sales management role, and if you need an old sales pro down here in Jawja, look me up!

Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!
