Re: Slow ProgressI just painted all the White pieces today, all 4 of them! The engine is holding me up but it will be ready in plenty of time for spring. I promised a friend of mine as soon as I finish this project I will restore his 2 bottom Dearborn plow he just bought. He found a real nice one in I think Tennessee. I'm looking foreward to a somewhat easy resto compared to what I've been doing for the last year.

Re: Slow ProgressWow, that is sharpe!! Are the lights on the back original to your model year LoBoy? Did you go with a new wiring harness or build one your self?
Thanks for the inspiration!!
Re: Slow ProgressRaymond, The lights are off a 1948 Mack I used to own. They didn't have turn signals in 48 so off they came. The stanchions I made from Disc scrapers. I've got them hooked up with my headlights or flip a switch and the bright filiment flashes. I made the wiring harness about 2 years ago. Real easy just takes time. Cut, strip, crimp, solder, shrink tube. It took me about about half a day but it cured about 90% 0f my problems.
It's not THAT nice. 3 things I'm bad at are body work, painting, and body work. It came out ok though. Good enough to pull some stuff through the garden. There's some runs and fish eye but lucky it's mostly hidden. Thanks for the compliment. Tom Aim Low, Acheive Your Goals.

Re:My 154, It's Alive!I finally got my starter for my 154 and it fired right off, with lots of smoke, but that cleared up shortly. I must have a lot of adjustments right on the money because it runs and starts perfect. I'll take some pics tomorrow outside. All that work was worth it.

Re: Slow ProgressLooks very nice!
Any reason you chose to go with the vertical exhaust vs the factory setup?
Re: Slow ProgressGreat pics. Looks real good. Now you need to figure out how to set the date on your camera!

Re: Slow ProgressRaymond, I didn't like how dirty the stock exhaust makes the front corner of the engine compartment, plus I think tractors should have a verticle exhaust. That's just me though, plus those hoods are $20.00 so no big loss.
