It has been bone dry here in Connecticut. We are off close to 6" for the year.
Our neighbors well went dry today.
Donna wanted to get some water on the strawberries so I took the E-Tank out of storage and put it on my platform carrier, went down to the lake and filled the tank about 2/3 full.
Dropped the whole thing on some 6 x 6 timbers, modified the discharge to accept a hose fitting and bingo, we have water to the soaker hose. When this empties I'm going to move it further up the hill to let gravity have more of an effect.

I'll send you some. We've had 2 plus inches in the last couple of days. Fields were wet anyway. Water standing between the ridges of the fields that did get chiselled. Oh well. Come July I'll probably be dragging a hose. Let me know when the strawberries are ripe. Fresh strawberry shortcake, with or without the shortcake. Yum. Vern

Dry here, too, Peter. Haven't watered anything yet. Rain forecast, for the weekend. Last Spring, I had to postpone a scheduled plow day, because it was too wet! 80 degrees, today, and close to that, forecast, for tomorrow. I'm sure that Art will have at least one rainy day, for ConnectiCubfest! Ed

...seems to be working out OK.
Filled the tank up (about 2/3) again this evening and set it near the raspberry patch.
