Re: Farmall A moldboard plowI'm in the same boat as you! I bought one for my father's A and having trouble hooking it up. I can send you a picture of the plow, but it isn't hooked up. If I find something I'll pass it your way.
Re: Farmall A moldboard plowYou need to give us a little more information on the type of plow, is it a one point hitch, is it a drawbar attachment etc;
Re: Farmall A moldboard plowFarmall A did not have a touch control lift. so if not a Super A it would have a hand lift or exhaust lift. As I recall the plow hooked up under the belly to holes mounted in torque tube. if you think a cub is a pain to change implements wait till you tackle one of them.

Re: Farmall A moldboard plow
The A version I believe was a bit different. The Super A version (A-193) hooks up just like a Cub except you have the depth control rod going up to the touch control arm where you have the depth lever with the Cub. Al "12 volt conversions are for quitters"

Re: Farmall A moldboard plowwell from what has been said I think I have a Super A plow and a regular A tractor don't think it is going to work. Thanks for all the help.

Re: Farmall A moldboard plowIt would work with some creativity.
Basically you need a way to lift and lower the plow in back, and a way to lift and lower the reversed drawbar in front. A true Farmall A plow is going to be tough to come by. They have a whole separate framework that hangs under the tractor, and two hand lift mechanisms... Lots of parts to get lost over the past 73 years, and most of them have. A complete Farmall A plow is definitely a RARE bird.
Re: Farmall A moldboard plowDad's got a plow on his A and is complete. It will be at the Roundup in July if anyone will be there. If I remember correctly, you don't use the drawbar at all. It has to be the most awkward looking thing I've seen, but it seems to plow real well.
