Dad would always plant a little quite early saying the seed cost wasn't much if he could get early corn. Planting a short amount of row every 10 days assurred the earliest corn possible and if the first planting froze or failed to germinate then maybe the next one would be ok. I'm too lazy for this approach. Vern

I am late just got mine planted the 21st , corn survives frost if it is not too tall
I have had it frost on mine twice yesy before last and it grew out of it only turned it a bit blue

Second planting of corn showed up today and some of the second planting of green beans. Will need to water set out plants if no rain soon.
