private messagesI saw an option earlier for sending a private message on the board, but can't find it now. I am looking in the wrong place, or did Dennis turn it off?

Is it only available on a reply?

John,
It should be available on the bottom of any posted message. Between "profile" and "email". Someone else will have to explain why there is a "private message (PM)" icon and also an "email" icon. George Willer, just playing with options George Willer

Apparently you can only send a pm to someone by using a message they have posted, not generate one "cold". I assume the pm and email allow you to send it via email, or via the board in case they didn't register their email address when they signed up.

John, you can also send PM's from the "memberlist"... Email is exactly that, email. If they do not put their email address in their profile, the PM or message board will be your only way to communicate with them. You are all doing a great job of getting a handle on this new format. When I looked at the Member list earlier today I didn't get the pm icons. Later when I tried I got them. Must have just been a glitch somewhere along the line.

Me too. I think my problem is I'm so intent on looking for what I'm looking for that I don't see what I'm look at. Unless it was so big that I couldn't see it!
