New FellerHello,
My name is Todd Morris. I just joined the forum as I just added a Farmall Cub to my collecting endeavors. I bought it to work the garden, mow the lawn, and then be able to take it to some shows with my little boy. Our Cub is a 1953 model. Thank You, Todd Morris Farmall Cub Owner (On the search for an F-12) Todd Morris

Re: New FellerTodd,
Welcome to the forum. Cubs are addictive. Bill "The probability of life originating from accident is comparable to the probability of the unabridged dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing shop." Edwin Conklin, biologist
Re: New FellerGee whiz Bill----don't scare the guy with a word like addictive! Drugs and alcohol are addictive. Cubs are "useful", "cute",etc.
Mike How can you have too many Cubs????
Re: New FellerOH...I think he was right, they are addictive. I think FARMALL's in general are addictive.

Re: New FellerTodd, welcome to the forum. Yes I have heard that Cubs can be addictive and there is probably a lot of truth in that. The Barnyard Bash near Cincinnati June 1 & 2 would be a great place to learn much about your Cub. You are about four and a half hours away, but most of the more than 70 folks from the forum who show up travel farther than that. You will meet a bunch of new friends (mostly all forum members), gain a vast knowledge of your Cub and have a great time and all it will cost is your time, gas and a hotel room if you stay for both days (many forum members get rooms). I hope you can find time to get away to attend. More about the Bash can be found here www.barnyardbash.com.

Re: New FellerWell we are in luck. A drive to Cinci is easy since I am used to driving back and forth to Gettysburg. I am hoping to have my Windbreaker Cab done in the next couple weeks, to show off on my cub. So with some luck I will be able to make it down. Luckily, it doesnt interfere with the Civil War Schedule.
Thanks for the Invite. Todd Morris Todd Morris

Re: New Feller
You and Yogie will have something in common (other than Cubs) to talk about. Glad you can possibly make it to the Bash. It is not a fancy show, but the more than 7o folks who showed up last year had a great time working on their Cubs, swapping stories, making new friends, and learning more about Cubs. I don't believe in taking the bull by the horns. I took a goat by the horns once and that was enough excitement for me.

Re: New FellerBut that wouldnt be very authentic now would it. Perhaps with an Ames Plow or something from the Mansfield Mower and Reaper works would be more period correct and appropriate. Did I mention I am a hardcore Civil War reenactor. Not so sure I can afford to be a hard core Cub fanatic....these toys cost even more than a good musket and a correct hand sewn uniform.
