Fishing with Dad

Postby Former Member » Thu May 17, 2012 8:37 pm

As many of you know, my Dads health has been failing. We went fishing today and we could only stay on the lake a couple hours.

THE LIVE WELL WAS FULL :{_}: :{_}:

This is after we gave 14 of the larger ones away. A combination of blue and channel cats and one white bass. We threw a lot of small ones away. A couple of the larger ones were 25".

I'm glad you had that time with your dad. Enjoy time with him while you can. I've been camped out at my Father-in-law's for the last week. He is on his death bed and my not make it through the night tonight. Hospice has been an unbelievable help.

We gave some to an older couple and the rest to a needy family.

They came out of the TN river system, and are perfectly safe to eat, but, Jan is skeptical, seeing as there are many power plants along the river. I have just gotten permission to fish a stocked private pond that needs to be fished down, and that is where I will get the fish for our table.

Looks and sounds like a great time Dale! I envy you - I wish my dad lived close enough to go fishing with, New Mexico is a little far away.

We have been going twice a week Brad, always bringing 30-70 cats home.

Brad, it is never too far away(just inconvenient), make sure to make the time regardless. :big afro:

Ain't nothing better than doing it with Dad Dale. Even if it it is sitting around. Got a picture of mine on the bulletin board next to the computer.
