Paul G: The 70 & 100 have 2 mounting plates and brackets that mount around the axle housing. The Original has a pan between the fenders and uses the seat spring holes to mount it. There is also a stabilizer rod that is in between the fenders. The fenders are made the same but have different mounting holes and the 70/100 have a lip on the bottom that the axle bracket mounts to. I have seen 70/100 fenders on Originals and original fenders on the 70/100.
The Geezer from IHregistry.com which crashed and is now Cub Cadet Collectors.

The inner skirt of the fender is shaped different, they mount different, and they will not readly interchange between models. But as William said, some people have switched them between models, but normally the fit leaves a lot to be desired. The skirt of the Original fenders is not deep enough and does not have the lip/flange along the bottom to fasten the axle straps that are used on the 70/100. If you use the Original mounting pan, the fenders sit too high, unless they are modified.
