Postby Ida Red » Mon Jul 02, 2012 9:03 pm

What is the value of a none running 149, with a free engine. It is in complete average shape and without a deck?

Red,
I really like the 149 and have had several of them, but it's hard to say. Condition is going to be the biggest thing. A running 149 in excellent shape with no mower deck is about $750 maybe. Running in ok shape, probably $400. Non running machine in excellent shape (I mean full restoration with excellent paint, decals, and seat with every piece there), maybe $300. Non running in Ok shape (all parts are there, no rust, but would be an easy re-paint or restoration), maybe $150.

The last one I had was in ok shape. Ran good, had a good 48" mower deck, every part was there but it was still in original paint and needed to be sanded and re-painted and have new decals installed. I think I sold it for $750.

Gitractorman that is just the info I needed. That Wallenda high wire act was quite a feat. Did you find me a 12" Brinley plow yet? We've got to get together some time and swap some lies. Red

HMMM the value??
First;
1st Does it run?
2nd what does it look like?
3rd What attactments are with it?

Second;

non runner with no attachments $100 to $200 depending on the condition. And if its all there 100%.

A runner with smoke, it moves and drives $300 to $400

A runner with attachments no smoke $500 to $750 depending on attachments.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
