Great news that he is recovering, prayers for Dusty and all of the family and medical staff treating and caring for him have been lifted from Va. Berlin
I seem to know more and more about less and less, soon I'll know everything about nothing !

Dusty's improvements continue. Written 1 hour ago Dusty had a great day today! He is much more alert and accepting that he can't go home until he reaches some milestones. He is breathing well on his own, without oxygen, and stood 7 times.
He was able to get into bed with the help of 3 people instead of using the hoyer lift. This is a "big accomplishment".
He had a 2nd session of Speech Therapy and started PT again.
Some big road blocks he needs to resolve are eating and blood pressure instability. We still have no idea how much longer he will be here and are just taking it one day at a time.
Dusty was able to look at the cards he has received and I read him some of the Caring Bridge messages. Thank you Simon and Toni, for checking on his tomatoes he was so worried about.
We are so grateful for everyone who is helping with the care of our farm and for all the messages and prayers.
Janas

Here is the latest from Dusty. Written Jul 20, 2012 2:30pm Bad news, no rehab beds available.
Good news we are going home today and I will have home health care. Other good news, I am allowed to have tin liquids again. Dr. has suggested limited visitors, due to infection risks, until the office visit in 2 weeks.
Thanks for all the prayers and support from both Janas and I,
Dusty
