My kinda doctor! I'm glad Kristy is making progress. Yes, it will be slow for a while. I've got two pins and eight screws in my back -- best thing that has been done to my back. Bill

Well, Kristy has been home for a few days now and it slowly but surely getting better. Still a lot of pain, but she's being real stubborn about pain her pain meds, they prescribed her oxy. I heard back from the insurance on the truck and they are totaling it, haven't got a quote yet as they said they are still investigating it, the guy did say that the rear wheels were free rolling and verified that the truck was in park and brake was set as if something has broke somewhere between the tranny to the rear... so... but again, just really thankful. I can't believe how much outpouring we have got from all our friends and neighbors with calls, emails, people stopping by, my friends on here who I've never met. It's real, real humbling.

Gary: Now that is one scary scenario. Just looking at the pics puts the pucker factor at 10 I am just glad you and Kristy will be ok. Stuff can be replaced ... you and Kristy can't. You both are in our prayers ( +)

So glad things are working out Gary. Hope time allows and I get to meet you and the gang from your area in a couple weeks at the local Fair.
Take care my friend.

thanks again guys, really appreciate it. I heard from the guy yesterday the final verdict on the truck was the planetary gear broke along with the parking pawl. The guy said that it was a situation that sooner or later it was bound to happen, he has saw a lot of '99-'07 1/2 ton silverados do the exact same thing. Chevy supposedly put in a different gearing or something whenever they changed the body styles last. He said probably the only thing that could have been done is if someone was in it, started it, then put it in 4x4, because that model had electronic 4x4, other than that it would have been the same outcome.
Otherwise Kristy is continuing to get better, still really, really sore, but she's getting more mobile, we went for a short walk tonight, slow but nice. She's a really strong girl, anyone who on a "lazy" day runs 8 miles and had ran in 6 5k and 2 half marathons this year has to be pretty good. I'll stick with playing with tractors! I hope I can get my cub half way ready before the county fair next month, don't know if I'll be able to get it painted, but at least get the fan hub replaced and back together.

Gary, you confirmed my suspicion about the broken park pawl. That was about the only way I could figure the rig taking off as it did. I'm blessed with level ground for loading here at home, so incidents such as yours are unlikely, but one can never be too careful. I'm just thankful that the two of you are able to make a strong recovery.

That was on a scale of 1 to 5 Gary: Glad both you and Kristy are recovering. She sounds a lot like Em when she was younger... a real gogetter! You both have the will as they say. Showed Em the pics last night and she was really shocked.

well Sunday made 3 weeks, hard to believe the way everything has been jumbled together day to day. Kristy is still improving as far as mobility, but not so much in pain. Stubborn thing won't even hardly take a tylenol, so that means still not hardly any sleeping at night. We are still just so overwhelmed by how much outpouring we have received from everyone around.
