This year they had the new flat bottomed steel stone boat and 150lb "stones", 8" x 8" x 36" concrete blocks.
The Pulling Pad was built 2 years ago and was made using a ballfield clay/sand mix. It packs down real nice.
Aron finished 3rd, pulling 4,750lbs for a distance of 11".
Here he is early on pulling 1,950lbs with his 1965 Cub Cadet 100, a tractor that several of you are familiar with. He completely rebuilt the engine last year and got his drive train done this year, so this was his first time pulling. This is a straight 10hp Kohler, no special cranks, pistons, etc.

The winner pulled 5,000lbs for a distance of 132" using a Bolens 1050 repowered with a Wisconsin 2 cylinder. Jonathan has put a ton of time and effort into this project over the last 2 years.

This is what the sled looked like at 5,000lbs minus the 10,000lb ratchet strap holding the stones to the sled. The kids need to make another 10 stones.
