Postby Jeff Silvey » Mon Sep 10, 2012 6:32 pm

Its been 11 years we all have lost loved ones and very dear friends on that day or afterwards. I for one lost some dear brothers on that day. I have sense found many more friends at many conferences & through many other ways.
Please PRAY for the familys of those lost.

That was a horrible day. I had been in 2 WTC the day before. I was doing an audit of telephone equipment so that unused equipment could be removed from the NYC tax on utility equipment. That was the verification of the last telco customer in all of the WTC. I had moved to Brooklyn the next day to audit spare and working cables. Bev called my when the first plane hit and it was still thought to be an accident. I went on the internet and learned about the second plane. I walked to the promenade opposite South Sea Port and saw smoke and one side of one of the towers. As I walked over I heard people shouting about a collapse. Because i could still see one corner and it looked solid I was confused. Soon after i saw shinny bright things and Glass tumbling as the second building collapsed. There was a thud but no where near as loud as I expected it to be.

A very memorable and sad day for our nation, I "will never forget". We visited ground zero two years ago and the feeling one gets in that somber place is somewhat akin to visiting the memorial at Pearl Harbour.

Never Forget! Keep those horrible people that caused it out of our Government, too.
Lord be with all First Responders and their families. Peace to those that have been affected by this tragedy.
