Thanks for your Prayers & Support

Postby Wakulla Bill » Fri Sep 14, 2012 4:02 pm

I have not been on the board lately due to the health problems associated with the colon cancer that was diagnosed in mid August.
I want to first thank everyone for their prayers and support.
I recieved news last week that the cancer has not spread to any other vital organs. I also met with an oncologist and a surgeon over the past few days to get a real idea of what needs to be done. Today I went in for another CT scan to map out my radiation treatments that begin next Wednesday. Monday, I am to meet with a medical oncologist about chemotherapy to plan that out.
From the information I have been told I will recieve the radiation treatments for 28 days along with some chemotherapy along the way to shrink this tumor that has my colon at least 80% blocked. After this is completed I will have my surgery 2-4 weeks afterward, probably in mid November.
Hopefully I will be able to visit the board more often, soon.

Thank you again, Bill
