Re: George Willer AuctionTime is getting short, so thought I would bring this back to the top so as to remind everyone of Saturday's big day in Fremont.
One item not listed is a hydraulic press that George had delivered to my place at Cubfest 2006. It has been in my barn since then. Gary picked it up yesterday and will have it at the sale. I filled it with oil and it seems to work alright. I will be there bright and early for the sale and be bringing my neighbor and my checkbook. With a little luck I may come home broke. Gene
Re: George Willer AuctionRequest: Would somebody take some pictures of the auction and post them? Those of us interested but not able to attend would appreciate it.
Our hearts go out to the Willer family during this auction and the one next month--both will bring up memories of George for them to deal with. For those of you who haven't seen the sale bill, here it is: http://www.bakerbonnigson.com/php/getpdf.php?id=895 Thanks. Stanton

Re: George Willer AuctionWell, the tractor sale is now history. I came home empty. Got the first bid on the toy hauler, but had to drop out at $20,500. It sold for $24,400, a little more than I could justify.
I actually owned Tyke for a couple hours, but let Bob Z. take it home for what I bid. Bid had stalled at $700.00. Both Dewey and didn't want it to go that low, so between the two of us, got it to $950.00. I thought most of the tractors sold much lower than they should have. Think the market must be getting soft. Regina was keeping track of the selling prices, so Gary may post them when he gets home. Gary, Steve, Dewey, Tim, Rick and a few others did a great job getting the tractors running. Think they pretty well ran down 3 battery packs cranking the tractors with no batteries. Weather was cool, but sunny, so was a good day for the sale. As for the Tricycle Cub, Steve Butram had previously bought it. Will surely see it around a few shows and Cubfests. Gene
Re: George Willer AuctionThanks, Gene. Wish I could have been there.

Did beeray get Scruffy? Glad to hear that it went well and brought in some money. "The time you spend making sure you are safe is probably the most productive time you can spend!"

Re: George Willer AuctionI'm finally back on the forum, a lightening strike had me out of service for several days.
Anyway, Shorty (yellow & white Lowboy) came home with me, Rambo (loader Cub) went home with Dewey. My wife kept a list of the sale prices, when she gets out of bed, I'll get it from her & post the results.
