Are front tires available? Can I get a set of ag tires for the front end or am I stuck with trailer tires?
Re: Are front tires available? You should be able to find the 3 rib tires about anywhere you'll find the trailer tires.
On line, TSC or maybe your local tire dealer should have them or order for you. ![]() Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote. Ben Franklin
Re: Are front tires available? And if by "Ag" tires, you mean the lugged tires to match the rear, those are also available in a suitable size, such as 5.00 x 12. They are designed as rear tires for compact tractors.

Re: Are front tires available?Bob is a good guy to deal with.

Re: Are front tires available?I have had good luck with Tucker tire. Great folks to deal with. Seems $88 is the price with tubes these days on ebay.

Re: Are front tires available?Tucker Tire is where I got mine from. Shipping was only 17 bucks on top of the 95 bucks I paid for the tri-ribs.
Haven't dealt with Miller Tire but is more expensive than Tucker and it is imported. I think they are the same manufacturer as Tucker but not sure. I didn't realize that Hamilton Bob's sold new tires. I would be more inclined to purchase from a site sponsor. I think the shipping was only a couple bucks more than Tucker but the price was $7.00 cheaper. Either way, I have to buy em and ship em to a US addy otherwise UPS has to get it's cut for doing diddly as usual -- and I can't afford diddly and I definitely can't afford UPS. I would much rather spend the 5 hours each way and visit a good friend than ship via UPS Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship

Re: Are front tires available? If you use your cub to mow your yard, just remember the tri-ribs will dig in on short turns, so you may want to think about the 5 rib implement type tires for that application if you do finish mowing. I use trailer tires on the front of my owing cub, but the tri-ribs on the one I grade with.

Re: Are front tires available?Very true EJP, if the soil is damp ribbed tires can make a bit of a mess in a field too. I believe them to be more puncture resistant (thicker) but base that only on the weight of either type of tire.

Re: Are front tires available?I bought the tri-ribbed and I realized this morning that Granny my '47 has the tri-ribs but Ellie my '48 has the smoother 5 rib type. Unfortunately it is the right front on Ellie that has the tube blowing out the sidewall. I think I may save them and see if one of my older 5 ribs will suffice. If not... ooops
I am really not going to worry about it. They can go on my loader Cub .. won't matter there as the loader Cub won't be in the garden but in the barn and on the driveway ... Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship
