Brendan,
Thats a nice looking cub.
From what I see on the cub production spreadsheet, The first square nose cub at serial 222501 rolled off the line in Aug 1963.
The first 12 volt cub with starter button on dash at serial 224401 rolled off the line in June 1964.
The cub pictured would be pre June 1964 as it is still 6 volt with the pull start rod.

I've a '64 12 volt Farmall Cub. It has a push star. The stickers on the Cub in your photo are the right stickers for a '64, but that doesn't mean they're original. Get eh serial number when you go look at it.

A red square nose Cub? Absolutely!!

I hope you get it. I really like the square noses, especially when they are painted the right color!

I have a red square nose serial 224595 mid july 1964, 12 volt, push start on dash. It also has a white hood, I know some people say the white hood on a red square nose is not factory original. I know the hood is original white and the cub is original red. Could the hood have been changed, maybe. I do see red with white hoods mid 60's cubs from time to time.

Just going by what my IH dealer told me and the fact that there are 4 or 5 in my area
That is proof enough for me. May not be for you though  All of them are in the 63 to 64 range, but then you could get them the color that you wanted I guess
