Corn on the cob
Rudi ask me to post this over here. Just learned to cook fresh corn on the cob in the microvave. I shuck, silk and wash. Then squeeze butter, salt and wrap in wax paper. Put on plate as can get messy. About 2 and one half minuets. take out and enjoy! Other ways would be to use paper towels or just cook in shuck. Water added by washing helps to "steam" the corn.

What power setting? Would it be similar to the popcorn setting used to pop bags of corn? or Say in the case of a 1,000 watt microwave, is it just on hi or what?
Corn is just starting to appear in the local markets, so it is just about time to try this idea out!!
Thanks

Try this and you'll never have corn any other way: Clean and cook your corn as you always do. Butter up an ear and then sprinkle Old Bay seasoning over the entire ear. No other salt or pepper needed. Been eating it this way for three years now.

SHAFT and flag both got the idea!!! Old Bay will absolutely MAKE an ear of corn!! And that's how we sometimes cook our corn, flag - either exactly like that or we throw it on the grill still in the shuck if we're grilling a meat or something. works about the same
