Katrina

Postby Joey » Sun Aug 28, 2005 1:12 pm

I know you guys are the salt of the earth and would do anything for anybody. I'm asking for your prayers that Katrina won't be as bad as they're predicting for southeast Louisiana. This seems to be the storm everyone knew was coming one day and was hoping to not see it. At Category 5, packing gusts up to 200 mph and sustained winds at 170 mph, forecasters are predicting catestrophic destruction. We're hoping for a downgrade before landfall, but that doesn't seem likely. Please keep us in your prayers. We'll probably be offline for a little while due to power outages. Reports are that they're asking people evacuating New Orleans to not return for two weeks. They must be expecting a lot of downtime. We'll let everyone know how it turns out. Thanks.

we'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use duct tape.

Joey - our prayers are yours. We also have friends in St. Amant which cannot be too far from you. Fortunately for them, they are in Illinois right now but of course they are worried about their house and possessions as they left before there was a threat of a storm and are not prepared.

Joey,
You guys have got' em. Will remember all the guys on the forum that may be in the path of this storm. It looks to be a monster. If any of you guys need anything that we can help with just ask.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Joey:

Been watching CNN... man, we are praying for you, and shall continue to pray for a proper outcome to this storm.

We ask the Lord to be Gracious unto his children and especially to watch over and provide each according to their need, that which will see them through this event according to HIS will.

He has provided us with many blessings and gifts to all of his children, and some of that is in the area of science... and the scientists say Git outta Dodge ifn you are in the path of Katrina.

I am kind of hoping that there will not a post from you tonight, as you wil already be with your family heading for higher and safer ground.

As some of the guys have said, material things get covered by insurance and can be replaced - you and your family cannot, so please take care of you and yours and get to someplace safe.

I was just on the NOAA site and as bad as our friends down south have it right now it looks as if Rudi will have Katrina as a guest for lunch friday. That is if it follows the 5 day forcast. Katrina is one bas girl.
