Thanks Jim. I usually do. This was "extreme" operating for me. I don't usually sit and alternate tires spinning that way either. And I don't make it a habit to hook it to something that I know will not budge! :lol:

Why couldn't the truck get free on it's own. Doesn't FORD stand "For Off Road Driving"?

Besides I always thought Ford stood for Found On Road DEAD :!:

Nah Rudi! Ford stamds for "For off road driving"! Must have been a two wheel drive F-150. Ford might in your case stand for "Found on Rudi's Driveway!"

I really like Ray's Lariat and it is a 4wd. Beautiful truck and strong. I like to tease him unmercifully cause I am a Ram guy and I still like my GMC's to :!:

I think if the clutch wouldn’t have slipped and the tires dug in it would have pulled the truck out.

That’s a no-brainer hook the Chevy to the trailer and you won’t get stuck….

You know, I never looked. Dad has had the Massey since it was new - he bought it the spring Em and I got married and it has been in the family ever since. Now his son Ray owns it but Em and I get to use it/access to it. I kinda hope it is the Perkins though.

I was talking to a person that has a Toyosha in an M/F yesterday and they said Fiat (M/F dealers) don’t support anything on that engine in conclusion; a good tractor is worthless for resale. What I’ve been told Perkin’s is in 99% of them but that’s Caterpillar owned and you know what that means on price of parts….

I’ve heard Case/IH is going the Fiat way …so stay tune on what they’re going to do with Case/IH parts.

I guess one good thing they did when they bought Ford/New Holland they replicated the Ford N tractors. Maybe they’ll do that with a Cub….but on second thought I like the Cub just the way it is.

As far as I know, CNH has been Fiat controlled since it was formed in 1999.

Yep Jim. CNH parts (Cub parts) have 'Fiat' on the label now.

I took a lot of heat for buying a Ford truck.... (everybody I know has GMC or Chevy). When I was looking to replace the F250 I would have gotten any brand 3/4 ton as long as it had a 8' bed and extended cab. I am glad I got a Super Duty..... it's green on the outside, red on the inside (Navistar/International). It's a great truck! Weighs 3 tons EMPTY.

Since Fiat has basically consolidated the Ag and Construction equipment industry to a large part under one umbrella and added pretty much all of Chrysler to it's fold, we can expect to see some interesting changes. We now have Fiat's being imported to Canada - I think they started importing Fiat's to the US last year or 2010 when they got controlling interest in Chrysler. This was the door that Fiat needed to gain access to what it perceives as the very valuable North American market (it already had Mexico) that it had previously been blocked from entering due to NAFTA regulations etc.

Case, IH, New Holland, Massey Ferguson and all of the other historical brands have been swallowed up by this takeover of the North American tractor manufacturing market. It is a shame to see it go this way, but globalization is the wave of the future and we need to sort of go with the float and let the money make the markets sway. Hopefully they will source quality parts from both Europe and North America and won't go entirely off-shore to China and the far east.

at least ford didn't take a bailout I will consider that on my next purchase. I am currently driving a 2012 dodge ram quadcab....company owned but can use as my own. If I had to purchase myself I'm lean-in toward ford.........just saying
