Recently located (and joined) the forum after researching Cubs on the 'net. Tremendous resources on this site. Back when I was a kid, all the small towns had a cub to mow the various town properties and I spent some time on one... fast forward 35yrs... bought one for my wife for Christmas. It's a '52 and it came with a 42" Woods and 23a disc and is in great shape. The previous owner had repaired some things and repainted the old girl - but it isn't a parade restoration. It will come in handy for mowing at the farm. I've already located a '49 'cause I'm thinking swapping between a mower and a set of mid-mount cultivators could get old. And yeah, I will probably get another set of diamond earrings for Christmas.

John: Yup, the diamond ear-rings should work Congrats on acquiring your 1st new to you Cub and possibly the 2nd already. Look at that -- going to be a member of the MCC real soon (MCC = Multiple Cub Club). I am sure you bride will get kinda addicted to them as well, most do to some degree As soon as the server is back up the links below will be of interest to you. I would recommend that you spend a little time reading the Owner's Manuals for the Cub, the Mower and the Disc. There are many others there as well including a lot of implements that you may find useful at some point from a Cub-193 moldboard plow to a Cub-54 Leveling and Grader Blade to name just a couple. Enjoy the journey, I know many of us sure do

You're not far from Sneads, FL and the Deep South CubFest (DSCF). you should give serious consideration to attending and meeting a lot of nice people that are knowledgeable when it comes to all things Cub. Check out the DSCF web site. here: http://www.dscubfest.com/Raymond beat me. Must type faster.

Well, John, Looks like I'm reading this a little late. Seems a couple of my hosts and some of my friends have already invited you to DSCF. We'd love to have you attend.
Hope to see you in February.
