A very good one indeed. It really bothers me to see that (not AS BAD with the older Cubs) with the late model Cubs & Longstripes. Looks like it has nice tin and a fast hitch too. What a shame!!

Brendan,

You might could (if you have it) get the girls name that had it on Flickr and try to locate her through Facebook......or try and get some kind of search with it and try to find a location for her. If you get the location, then you could post a Craigslist "Wanted" ad, and hope to get lucky! You would definitely have to offer the folks a few hundred for it at least though. Don't expect to and try to get things for Free. Even when someone obliges, always offer back.

If nobody here knows where it is how do we know it was left for dead and not just parked there to get a picture?

I agree with the research. It's definitely worth looking into! The Cub has definitely sat for a while, based on the green moss/stuff on the rear tires. Also, it's an interesting cub (well, for me personally). Many of the longstripe red cubs you find have white wheels/centers. But, my 77IH Cub was just like this one, with red front wheels and rear wheel centers. Also, did you notice that this cub has a fast hitch and a belly mower. That sure would be a nice one to start with for a restoration!!!!

The pictures were taken in May of 2008.

It looks like they took a series of pictures to try and sell it. Serial # is shown and it is an early 1978 model #252187
