At least you got off easy. I can be adjusted through the access hole but it can be a bear if you have fat hands as I do.

Just curious -- how are yo going to move the two ends back together?

If you haven';t figured that out yet, here is a suggestion that works great.

Lay good 2x8 planks from front axel to rear axel or hitch. Then lay 2x6 boards across the planks to provide support at the bell housing and the oil pan. Add blocking as needed. Put a little grease on the planks to allow 2x6 boards to slide easily as you bring the front half back. Good way to pull the front end back is with a come-a-long attached to hitch and front axel.

You can use 2x6 planks if you place support beneath them at the bell housing. Also good idea to fasten planks at the rear to prevent them from sliding.

Had my son with me that day. Just grabbed the back half by the shafts that come out of the hydrolic block and rolled it right into place. It isnt that heavy. And as long as the PTO is ingaged once it is to the clutch disc you can reach back and turn it to alighn the splines to slide into the clutch disk. My SC would be a different story.
