Santa was good to me

Postby Barnyard » Tue Dec 25, 2012 2:21 pm

Rosie and I were too sick to go to the family gathering today, but Melissa and Nick stopped by to celebrate a bit this morning. Santa left me with something I have been wanting for a while but just never got around to picking up.

My old drill is about to give out so this is very timely. A couple of years ago Mel had won an 18 volt Milwaukee I/2" drive impact and gave it to me. This set gives me most everything I need for my projects. I think that little 1/4-in impact driver will come in handy around here.

Mel also has to buy almost anything with IH on it (I need to slow that girl down). I got a few tins I will probably set on a shelf and look at. I'd hate to toss stuff in them and mess them up.

How about the rest of you? Was Santa good to you too?
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

We shied away from the commercial stuff this year, and did mostly home made gifts.

From Jan I got a pair of monkey fleece pajama's
From Jaime, our oldest, I got an IH candy Jar she made

And from Julie, (our engineer)I got a magnetic wrist tool and part holder :big afro: and a cool little magnetic light that can fit in small area and point into any direction

After discussing the item with some friends, Momma E and I got one of these for ourselves. For those times when making a full pot is not reasonable. So far, we have really enjoyed the convenience.

Sorry for the size of the picture.

I got me the last 4 Spec Cast Cubs to complete the collection to this date. Also got a TV for the Shop, AWESOME!! :)

Been wanting to get them but the house remodel has been eating up all my spending money.

About 6:00 this morning the blizzard condition storm they've been promising started. Blowing like crazy with 5-6 inches so far. Forecast was for 6-12 inches. We'll see what develops.
