Just what would be the purpose of having a sickle mower pulley attached to this?
Just to make people ask questions like - what is hanging on the rockshaft?
I wondered about that as well, but decided it may have a use to actually lift something, or is a place to hold onto as you climb up. Rudi wrote:Vern: Looks like a Cub-144 Cultivator rear lift rod.
The bar looks like it mounts in some sort of clamp, not the welded on flat piece with two holes like the cultivator lift rod would have, although it may serve the same purpose. While we're wondering........Why does the left angle brace for the add on fender(?), with the slot, have a bolt in it while the right one doesn't?

Looking at the pictures, I am wondering if they just took a used cub and mounted it on the assembly, pulley cultivator bracket and all.
