Unexpected Post Hole Digger Usage

Postby Stanton » Tue Jan 08, 2013 8:24 am

Came home from eating lunch out Saturday to find our tomcat (Tiger) of 14+ years, had died. I hurriedly constructed a box from some cedar and by the time I was ready to lay him to rest, we had about an hour of sunlight left. I thought I needed to get this dug fast and the ground had been frozen recently, so...

...I put on the auger and fired up the '48 with the Prewitt post hole digger. Five minutes later, I had a bored out a rectangular hole about 30" deep. A little hand shoveling was needed to square up the corners. Job completed before sundown. Saved me a ton of labor.

Rest in peace, Tiger. We'll miss you around the Gragg house.

Stanton:

It is hard losing a 4 legged member of the family especially one who has been a companion for that many years.

Sorry for your lost. Unless you have had a "friend" such as your favorite pet it is hard to understand. But think of the many years they were treated like kings and queens of the animal world.
