Re: posting picturesThe quickest way to post pics is as an attachment to your post.
Go to bottom of your screen "upload attachment"; "Browse" to the pic you want on your computer; "Add the file"; Position your cursor where you want it in the post and click "Place inline" "Preview" your post before submitting to see what it will look like. Dave

Re: posting picturesWow! Dave, I have been posting pics for many years and did not know about this method. Much faster and easier than loading from computer file to Photo Host, Photo Bucket, etc and then copy/paste it into reply. I have learned something today.

Re: posting picturesThe photo host has its good points but I have never liked it very well. The attachment method is way easier.

Re: posting picturesThank you Dave got it
Re: posting picturesWow, once again I am amazed by something that someone taught me here on the forum.
I can't believe that it is that easy to post a picture. I absolutely cannot get the hang of the photo host, and have to reteach myself every time I try to use it. Thanks so much Dave, this was the best click in 2013 for me so far. Thackery. Re: posting pictures
Thackery, I agree 100%. Part of my problem is I am on dialup still at home. So when I try to upload a pic to the photo host, I have to upload it, then assign it to an album. And if you forgt to assign it to an album, or (what usually happens) the computer freezes 'cause the internet is so slow, the pictures that have just uploaded are gone forever.....so yes, the attachment method is way easier. Re: posting pictures
What is dialup? That still exists?? I have been collecting, buying, and selling Farmall Cub tractors, implements, and parts for nearly 11 years.

Re: posting picturesThere are many jurisdictions that still are on dial-up service. There are very few areas that have high speed internet access mandated as a right/is law. I only know of one jurisdiction that has legislated that every residence/household must have access to high speed internet. That jurisdiction is here in New Brunswick and we have had it for a number of years now. However, most areas depend on their ISP's to provide the networking upgrades and they will only do that if there is sufficient demand/profit/pay-back involved. These services are not cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Even ADSL is expensive and that is over standard twisted pair and is in reality limited to 56.6kps which is the fastest that data can be transmnitted on twisted pair without compression.
That is one of the reasons why the server is still in jpegs. Simply because there are still so many folks who do not have access to high speed data links and it takes forever to download pdf's. Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship
