Re: No oil pressure Help!!
If you can see the oil going into the filterr canister then the pump is working. It sounds like either a bad guage or valve.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: No oil pressure Help!!
Engine oil pump probably puts out about 2 gallons a minute at full engine rated rpms. Engine cranking speed - oil entering the oil filter housing - won't be very fast. Only a portion of the oil pump's output enters the oil filter housing - called a partial flow system.
Couple of questions:
Engine recently rebuilt?
All of the plugs installed in the oil galleries?
What is the history on this engine?
Have you started the engine? Takes perhaps 20 seconds for oil pressure to come up at engine start up.

Re: No oil pressure Help!!
As Eugene said it takes a bit of time for oil pressure to build especially if the filter housing is empty. It will never build readable pressure at cranking speed.

Re: No oil pressure Help!!
Rebuilt engine no oil pressure at first then I saw what was posted that had to prim pump. Wasnt getting nothing until I primed now its not building pressure. Engine runs good just dont want to run without pressure on the mechanical gauge. The gauge is good put on another cub and had 20 pounds of pressure. Dont know what to do.

Are we talking about a Farmall Cub or something else?

Re: No oil pressure Help!!
Oil pressure light indicator = sounds like one of the numbered Cubs. Same engine as a standard Cub.
Question. Newly rebuilt engine? Common fault is not replacing the plugs in the oil galleries. One under the valve tappet cover and one under the cam shaft timing gear.
Edit: Oil pressure regulator valve installed?

Have you had the engine apart lately? If not, chances are they are not the problem.
